Revlon is probably one brand I was exposed to when I was a kid. I remember my Mom used to own a few of their nail polishes and maybe a lipstick. The slanted top black handle with gold trim on the bottle cap always so classy and elegant. Continue reading
Beauty Soup Stock
There are a lot of websites talking about the benefits of bone or collagen broth so I’ll not go into it. I usually make a big batch of it every few weeks or until I’m running out of it. I do not season it with salt because I prefer to do it when I use it for stew or soup, with either salt, soy sauce or flavourful ingredients like dried scallops, anchovies, etc. Here’s how I prepare my beauty soup stock.

Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder
Hi hi, everyone! It’s Friday!! Last week was a long weekend and hence i took some time to browse the beauty corner at the drugstore. I was mindlessly brushing my fingers against some of the Catrice product testers, testing and swatching. This – Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder – literally lit up my face when i swiped my finger on the testers. It was smooth and velvety. Not something I expected from a drugstore product. Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Mask
Perhaps it’s age, stress or poor drinking (I mean water!) habit, my skin feels dehydrated more frequently lately. I slapped on more creams but that didn’t help much. In fact, I started breaking out, especially when I’m nearing towards the end of my cycle. After much reading up, dehydrated skin needs to replenish water, not oil. Continue reading
Tangle Teezer vs The Wet Brush
My preschooler now requires to keep her hair long for dance. The constant ouch and OUCH~~~ from her when detangling her hair was driving me nuts. So I decided to try out the detangling hair brushes in the market. Continue reading
Cleansing Balms – new found love.

How to remove gel nail polish
Seriously, I drag the idea of going to the salon to get the gel polish off. I have to make an appointment, arrange someone to take care of my daughter or bring her along… The worse is, depending on the skill of the manicurist, I probably end up with some scratches and ‘dents’ on my nails. So today, I’m going to DIY at home while my daughter is napping. Continue reading
Feb/March 2015 Empties
I have a very bad habit of buying products and stashing them away before I even finish the dozens in my bathroom. Many times, I ended up buying and using the same products over and over again, even they aren’t doing any for me. Hence, I’m going to write down short reviews of the products I had used up every month or 2 months. I guess this helps me to use up the products, and minimize the habit of stashing products away. Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque
Spotted a new range of liquid lipstick at the Bourjois counter at Watson’s – Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque. If I’m not wrong, these are exclusively at Bourjois counters at Watson’s… for now. Unlike its predecessor – Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet – which has matte finish, this new range features intense colour pigment with a shiny gloss finish. Continue reading
